Discussion Paper

Based on all six chapters of the supplementary reading on Urban Growth  posted in’ Course Documents’,  write a  paper (no more than eight pages in length, double- spaced) in which you discuss the following issues:

1. 1.Recent trends in urban growth, including regional differences in  urban growth rates
2. 2.The future of urban growth, including the growth of smaller cities
3. 3.The problems resulting from urban growth in developing countries , including urban poverty, housing and slums, jobs, education, violence, health, and  disease.
4. 4.Policies and programs that have been or may be implemented by governments to address these problems
